Litter box - 6 quick tips

Here are some  quick tips and considerations about litter boxes.

·      Keep the litter box away from water and food otherwise this can taint the litter box.

·      Litter that has a sand based texture mimics the sand that a cat would have experienced in the wild.

·      Clumping litter makes it easy to remove deposits of urine and faeces.

·      Hooded trays can sometimes mask smells and if you have a multi cat home then sometimes a cat may attempt to use it while the other cat is.

·      Keeping the tray away from the window is sensible, as other cats can look in (this goes for food and water too!).

·      Keeping the tray away from shelves is important (and the same with beds) incase another cat jumped on it.
