What to do if your cat has urinated outside of their litter tray

·      Have some warm water and wash the area thoroughly. Avoid using bleach as it can smell very strongly and the cat may go back to that area.

·      Have a product such as an enzymatic cleaner. The area may be a dark coloured rug or something else, so testing an inconspicuous area to begin with to ensure that it doesn’t get stained is sensible.

·      Rinse away

·      Dry off with a cloth

A cat can urinate outside of their tray for lots of reasons including health reasons so a vet check is really important.
